What is the NAH?
April 22, 2008
In the last few weeks, I have heard myself telling my clients, “This is what I was incarnated to do, it’s what I’m here on Earth for!” They always agree, and it brings tears to my eyes and a flush of gratitude and humility.
My journey has taken me through childhood sexual abuse, adult sexual addiction, and a decade-long healing odyssey through firewalking, ordination as a high priestess, and belly dancing. Eventually, my path lead to the Divine Feminine Institute, Maui, and the NAH.
NAH stands for Nurturing, Awakening, and Healing. Developed by Caroline Muir, founder of the Divine Feminine Institute, it has evolved from its root therapy, sacred spot healing, into a comprehensive energy work therapy that addresses all the chakras, not just the ones that are polite to include.
NAH brought me through the final stages of my sexual healing into full recovery as I completed the two-year certification program as a Spiritual Sexual Educator. This important work addresses the vastly unmet need for somatic healing of the sexual trauma and wounding that is so prevalent.
NAH can help clear away the traumas of the past and assist people in enjoying relationships and intimacy from a place of wholeness. This work can be done fully clothed, and addresses the energetic holding areas that retain the memories and imprints of the trauma.
I am deeply passionate about this work, a cutting-edge somatic therapy that addresses the whole being. This work is also designed to clear energy blocks that are not related to abuse issues, and enhance the radiant aliveness that comes from accessing the life force energy that resides in the second (sexual) chakra.
October 2010 note: The NAH is now called the Nurturing Practice of AH and it continues to expand and grow.
