Sacred Sexual Healing

Sexual abuse and trauma survivors are seeking new ways to heal themselves. Couples are at their wit’s end trying to understand and talk about their sexual issues. Single men and women feel “shut down” and have no idea why. After years of talk therapy, people are often left with the feeling that there is something more. I know this because I was one of those people, and I was lucky enough to find my way to a school that teaches the art of sacred sexual healing with integrity and consciousness, the Divine Feminine-Awakened Masculine Institute.

As I gained mastery over my own sexuality and completed the Spiritual Sexual Educator Certification program, I knew this was my life path; to complete my healing and learn to help others who need this kind of specialized and cutting-edge practitioner. At the core of this training program, is a healing modality called The Nurturing Practice of AH. This modality can be offered fully clothed and is very effective as a sexual healing practice.

AH stands for awakening and healing. The qualities of nurturing, awakening, and healing are what I bring to a sacred sexual healing session. Safety and trust are also paramount to this type of work. People are often feeling afraid of the unknown… so much emotion can be repressed and held in the body, and it can be scary to allow that to surface.

Communication is the most important component of all. I enjoy helping people really tune in to their own guidance, to listen to themselves first and foremost. It’s very empowering to realize that you know all the answers to your questions already… it’s just a matter of asking, listening, and letting your body communicate with you.

Learning to talk about sexuality can be very beneficial for those who feel shame and embarrassment about the subject. It helps to have someone to talk to who can discuss sexuality openly and easily, giving one an opportunity to practice these tender communication skills. A well-trained practitioner can help you feel at ease learning to express your sexual concerns, preferences, and desires.

Sacred sexual healing sessions do not involve an exchange of sexual energy. If sexual energy is experienced in the client, the practitioner simply allows this energy of awakening to unfold without interacting with it. The result is that the client experiences their own sexual energy and has the opportunity to integrate the opening into their bodies and lives.

Abuse and trauma may be released when the client feels safe enough to allow repressed feelings to surface. Having a place in which to fully express old anger, shame, rage, and sadness allows these emotions safe passage from the body. The practitioner simply allows the expression and holds the space steady as a neutral, compassionate witness. Often, there is tremendous relief as the layers of ancient material exit for good.

The beauty of AH is that it can be learned by anyone. I teach couples how to give AH to each other. I teach it in weekend workshops and people who have just met can easily practice on one another. It is deeply respectful, healing, and loving work.

I am deeply passionate about this work because it is a holistic approach… it addresses the whole being. It helps people access their vitality, aliveness, and passion for life. For some, it opens up whole new worlds of relating, communication, intimacy, and expression. For others, an opportunity to fully embrace and integrate past traumas. For me, all of the above and much, much more.
